Introduction

A flagship, a mini and a phablet. From there on, it's all you Desire. This pretty much sums up the Taiwanese smartphone portfolio where the once premium Desire line is doing double and triple shifts to cover all kinds of price brackets, shapes and sizes in the midrange. It's a place where dual SIM support is closer to a must-have than a nice-to-have.
The HTC Desire 700 dual-SIM has bits of the character of the current flagship but some of the smarts have been obviously traded for size and an extra SIM slot. There's no mistaking where the Desire 700 got its looks from but instead of a gapless aluminum unibody this one has been treated to glossy plastic. The upside is a detachable back panel and hence, a removable battery.
At 5 inches, the Desire 700's screen is bigger than the 4.7-inch screen of the HTC One, but the qHD resolution means that the pixel density is at lower-midrange levels. The good news is the front-mounted stereo speakers are available here as well.
The back isn't adorned in Ultrapixel glory but a regular 8MP camera more than suffices for the price range. The HTC Desire 700 greets you with Sense 5 atop the aging Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with, hopefully, an update to at least Android 4.3 in the works (and the more advanced Sense 5.5 in tow).
Hoping to balance price-conscious decisions and delivering value to customers, the Desire 700 dual-SIM looks like a good match for the Asian markets where a big screen and multiple SIM slots go a long way. That said, like others before it, the Desire 700 will certainly find its way to the old continent, too.

The HTC Desire 700 dual SIM has screen size, battery capacity and full-HD video capability over the predecessor, the Desire 600 dual SIM. But six months later, it's not the straightforward upgrade that HTC was after - the Desire 700 and its siblings mark a strategic shift for the company. In an attempt to lower the production costs, the Taiwanese have switched chipset suppliers.
The Desire 700 is powered by a China-made Spreadtrum Shark running four Cortex-A7 cores at 1.2GHz. The immediate benefit is 1080p video recording but we're yet to see what kind of compromise the low-cost chipset makes and how it compares against lower-end Snapdragons.

HTC One M8 is the latest flagship device from HTC. The device build looks very solid and premium. The device has 5-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080) screen resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is  packed with Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2.3 GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU for super fast performance. One M8 come with dual 4 MP camera with dual LED flash and full HD video recording support. The device has 5 MP front facing camera for video chat. HTC One M8 available in 16 GB and 32 GB versions with 2 GB RAM support.

  • Download and copy the TWRP Recovery Image in Fastboot folder.
  • Now go to Phone settings and disable Fastboot in Power Options.
  • Turn off your device.
  • Now boot your device in HBOOT mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power button until you see some text on Screen, Select Fastboot in the Menu.
  • Connect your device to PC in HBOOT mode with USB cable.
  • Now open Fastboot folder and hold Shift key and Right Click in Fastboot folder and select open command window here in right click menu to open CMD.
  • Now type following command and hit Enter button after each line in CMD.
  1. fastboot erase cache
  2. fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.3-m8_ul_ca.img
  3. fastboot reboot 
  • Now your device will reboot and TWRP recovery is installed in your device successfully.

How To Root AT&T HTC One M8:

  • Download and Copy the SuperSU file (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.xx.zip) in external SD card of your HTC One M8.
  • Turn off your device and boot your device in HBOOT mode again by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power button until you see some text on Screen, Select Recovery in the Menu.
  • Tap on Install and select the copied SuperSU zip file and slide the button for confirmation.
  • Once the flashing done go back to the main menu of TWRP recovery and reboot your device.
That’s It!! Your Device is successfully rooted and TWRP Recovery is successfully flashed in your AT&T HTC One M8.

How to Root the HTC One Max


HTC One Max is the successor of the widely popular HTC One smartphone. With great new features, including the fingerprint scanner, the One Max has really created a buzz around the smartphone markets and it really deserves some developer love. To show their love, the devs have developed a root method for this newly launched device allowing users to get the most out of their device. Having root-access on an Android device has always been a great thing as it lets you remove system apps (if you don’t need them), install root-only apps, flashcustom ROMs and a lot more. Here’s how you can go about rooting your HTC One Max:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. You must have unlocked bootloader of your device. You can unlock your device’s bootloader by visiting the HTCDev website.
3. This only works on Windows based PCs.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. ClockworkMod Recovery Image (Download the appropriate Recovery Image for your device from the first post)
3. SuperSU (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the HTC One Max:

1. Place all three files you’ve downloaded onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from Fastboot archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going toMenu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.
4. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
5. Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do that, simply hold down the Shift button and right-click on any blank area on your screen and select Open command window here.
6. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window:
adb reboot bootloader
7. Your device should reboot into the Fastboot mode.
8. Once in Fastboot, type in following command into the Command Prompt Window. Make sure to replace recoveryname.img with the actual name of the Recovery Image file you have downloaded:
fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
9. It should flash the recovery on your device, shouldn’t take too long to finish.
10. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.
11. You’re done!
Awesome! You’ve successfully flashed a custom recovery on your device, let’s see how you can root your device!

IV. Rooting the HTC One Max:

1. Ensure your device is connected to your PC.
2. Copy the SuperSU zip from your Desktop over to the root of your SD card.
3. Open a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do that, hold down theShift button and right-click on any blank area on your screen and select Open command window here.
4. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window:
adb reboot recovery
5. Your device should reboot into the CWM Recovery mode.
6. Once in Recovery, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip fromsdcard.
7. Choose the SuperSU zip you copied earlier to be flashed on your device.
8. It’ll begin flashing the zip on your device.
9. Once it’s been flashed, reboot your device.
10. You’re now rooted!
Brilliant! Your HTC One Max has been successfully rooted and equipped with a custom recovery. You’re all set to enjoy the world of custom ROMs!
