Panasonic P31 hands on review

Panasonic has officially launched its P31 smartphone, priced at Rs. 11,990, and will be available in the last week of March. The company had teased the smartphone in a couple of images at the end of February 2014.
The dual-SIM supporting handset (Micro-SIM card only) runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Panasonic P31 features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixel) display with 'ultra oleophobic' coating. The device is also powered by an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, and an unknown amount of RAM. The P31 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash support, along with a VGA front-facing camera. The rear camera is also capable of recording full-HD (1080p) videos.
The Panasonic P31 smartphone bears 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The connectivity options housed in the mid-range handset include 3G, FM radio, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot and Bluetooth 4.0. The P31 is backed by a 2000mAh battery that is rated up to 13 hours of 2G talk time and 9 hours of 3G talk time.
Panasonic, in its P31 handset, has also introduced 'Play Life' features, which enable the smartphone to "understands gestures, organizes users music library, let's one multi-task while watching videos, switches the smartphone modes to ensure that one never runs out of battery& many more."
The firm has also introduced its 'Heat-Sink' design, which regulates the smartphone's temperature via "controlled heat dissipation." The Panasonic P31 will be available in Bluish Black and Pure White colour variants.
